OPG 2D/3D
A 3D OPG gives a panoramic view of the teeth, bones of the lower and upper jaws and the whole mouth. A 3D OPG may also show problems with the TMJ joint and jawbone. Whereas a 2D OPG shows a 2D view of a half-circle from ear to ear. It’s a panoramic scanning dental X-ray of the lower and upper jaw.
QUADRANT SCAN
A quadrant scan is very helpful when the doctor needs to evaluate an area of interest or a particular section. The doctor can diagnose an impacted tooth or any other lesion and assess a specific region for implant planning.
ARCH SCAN (MAXILLA/MANDIBLE)
The arch scan allows the entire mandible evaluation for diagnosing and treatment planning of the problems connected to the mandible such as sinus evaluation, nerve study, affected tooth, fracture, cyst, and implant evaluation.
FULL SCAN
When regular facial or dental x-rays are not enough, doctors use a special kind of x-ray equipment called dental cone beam computed tomography (CT). This technology is so efficient that it generates three dimensional (3-D) images of soft tissues, teeth, nerve pathways and bone in a single scan.
TMJ SCAN
TMJ scan provides a 3d image for TMJ which will give an accurate and close image for correct evaluation and diagnosis of the joint. The most widespread degenerative changes seen on CBCT are the bony changes like flattening, sclerosis, formation of osteophytes, erosion, resorption of the condylar head, erosion of the mandibular fossa and reduced joint space.
PARANASAL SINUS SCAN
This scan evaluates the paranasal sinus cavities that are hollow, air-filled spaces within the bones of the face that surround the nasal cavity. The scan is painless, accurate and noninvasive. It is the most authentic imaging technique for concluding if the sinuses are blocked, also the best imaging procedure for sinusitis and the problems related to it.
AIRWAY SCAN (VOLUME SCAN)
The upper airway comprises the nose, trachea, hypopharynx, larynx, nasopharynx, and oropharynx. This scan provides a detailed evaluation of the airway and its diagnosis for different problems. There are also many nearby soft tissue and bony structures that are extremely complex in their anatomic arrangement. Lesions caused in these regions result in extrinsic compression which means a compromised airway.
INNER EAR SCAN
CBCT of the inner ear is effective in the diagnosis of malformations, dysplasia, traumatic lesions, thin osseous labyrinthine wall erosion, or dehiscence. Even CBCT of the inner ear helps in the analysis of the position of cochlear implants in the temporal bone.
“X-Vision”-OPG/CBCT Centre is a super-specialty center for diagnostic imaging of the teeth, jaws and face including the Temporomandibular joints (TMJ), Ear-Nose and Paranasal sinuses.
